First All India Homeschooling Conference 2013


Registration Form

Please read thru this information carefully before filling out the form.  Link to the form is at the bottom of this page.


DATES:  Thursday, 28th February - Monday, 4th March (5 days, 4 nights) 

Note:  Thursday is a "check-in and get settled and meet everyone" day.  Monday is "pack up, goodbyes and check-out" day.   Activities on Friday, Saturday & Sunday.  


VENUE:  St. Mary's Villa, Off Mumbai Pune Highway, Khandala, Maharashtra.


CONFERENCE REGISTRATION FEE:  

This covers things like generator charges, art supplies, hiring of any services, etc.  The rate remains the same no matter how many days of the conference you attend.

Early Bird  - Last date 5th January, 2013:  ₹250 per person

Late Bird  - After 5th January, 2013:  ₹400 per person

Birds landing up directly - ₹550 per person


ACCOMMODATION:
Note: Pets are not allowed on the premises.

Those NOT CHOOSING to stay at St. Mary's Villa -
Can book rooms at the several hotel options as listed on the IHC Blog. http://indiahomeschoolersconference.blogspot.in.  

IMPORTANT for those NOT choosing to stay at St. Mary's Villa:  
There is a mandatory St. Mary's Day Charge of ₹125 per person, per day, for those who choose to stay outside (children under 3 are free).  This Day Charge is required by St. Marys for use of their facilities.
E.g. for a family of 4 staying outside (all over age 3), attending all 5 days of the conference:  
Registration Fee (Early Bird ₹250 x 4 persons) + St. Marys Day Charge (₹125 x 4 persons x 5 days) = ₹3,500.  

For those CHOOSING to stay at St. Mary's Villa

There are 3 types of rooms at St. Mary's Vila:

100 Bed Dormitory
13 Bed Dormitory  (1 room, can be shared)
7 Bed Dormitory  (1 room, can be shared)
5 Bed Room  (10 rooms available, beds side by side dorm style with a bit of space along the foot of the beds for accessing the door and bathroom)

The rate is ₹125 per bed, per day.  Children under 3 are free.  

E.g. for a family of 4 staying at St. Mary's Villa (all over age 3) attending all 5 days of the conference:  
Registration Fee (Early Bird ₹250 x 4 persons) + St. Mary's charge per Bed, per DAY (₹125 x 4 persons x 5 days) = ₹3,500  

If you choose a 5 or 13 bed room you will need to pay for all the beds in that room.  If you plan to share a room please note that the 5 bed room is very small.  There is only one 13 bed room.  So those wishing to share these rooms should fill up the form as one family

We will try our best to ensure that your room preferences are honored.  However it may not be possible after we cross the limit of small rooms.


PAYMENT MODE:
Please read the information about Accommodation and Registration Fees carefully before filling out this part of the form. Please make payments within 3 days of submitting the Registration Form.
Mumbai participants pay cash to Nikhil, Dr. Matthew or Supriya.  
Rest of India deposit check/cash or do a bank transfer into your nearest HDFC Bank. Name: Hema A. Bharadwaj Account Details: 02231930000525 Branch: Pashan-Pune No refunds.


FOOD:
We will send out a form with Food options and costs at a later date.  For your information St. Marys will charge us ₹275 per person, per day, for 4 meals per day.  They have veg and non-veg.  Those eating outside will not be charged by St. Mary's.  If you choose to eat out there are many restaurants of different types dotted all over Khandala.

  5. Yes Deepali around 5 to 7 families have opted for "OWN ARRANGEMENT" though staying at venue is much more convenient.

  6. Does anyone know if there are shops within walking distance from St. Marys? Chemists, general stores, etc...?

  7. I've sent the registration form and done the payment, but I'd like to know if there's any other way to check if our registration is definitely confirmed. (I have clicked on the confirmation link that was sent to my email)
    Putting up a list with the names and accommodation details of the confirmed registrations will be very useful.

  8. Rebecca, there are shops and restaurants close by. Dr. Mathew will and his wife Dr. Vinita will be present, and will be carrying a basic first aid. Chemists and the market are also close by.

    I checked, your registration is confirmed.
